The ETL Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes for data warehousing and business intelligence purposes. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in Informatica PowerCenter and SQL, along with a solid understanding of data integration principles
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Development:Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data from source systems to target databases
- SQL Development:Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Perform database-related tasks, including creating tables, indexes, and stored procedures
- Data Mapping and Transformation:Create detailed data mapping specifications to ensure accurate data transformation
- Implement data cleansing, validation, and transformation rules using Informatica transformations
- Performance Tuning:Optimize ETL processes and SQL queries for performance and efficiency
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data integration workflows
- Documentation:Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of ETL processes, data mappings, and SQL scripts
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices
- Collaboration:Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and business rules
- Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Quality Assurance:Conduct testing and validation of ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
